The best film project is only as good as the music that accompanies it. I’ve been using the Artlist platform to license music for my promotional films and product videos since 2020. Even in projects by large corporations, you’ll frequently find soundtracks from Artlist. Artlist now offers far more than just music, but to be honest, I’m not really interested in all the AI stuff like AI photos, AI videos, and AI voiceovers, which is why I only use Artlist for music and sound effects.

Artlist Promo Code & Pricing for 2026: Why the Most Affordable Plan Is Also the Best

I don’t know about you, but personally, AI-generated content puts me off. Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok are now flooded with AI spam. I specialize in producing high-quality promotional films and product videos, and my focus is on the craftsmanship of human-made work. This is exactly where the Artlist “Music” package shines. While Artlist advertises a price starting at €9.99 per month, that license is for personal use only. If, like me, you have commercial clients, you’ll need to opt for the Pro license, and there are two options here. In most cases, the basic Music package for €16.58 per month is more than enough. I myself treated myself to an SFX package from another provider as a one-time purchase, so I don’t need a subscription for that. However, if you’d like to combine both, you can get the “Music & SFX” package for €24.92 per month—even for commercial use! For me, however, the standard “Music” package for 16.58 euros per month or 199 euros per year is sufficient. By using my link*, you’ll receive all Artlist packages with two additional months at no extra charge.

But there’s one more thing you should know. The Pro license for “Music” and “Music & SFX” is only valid for content creators, freelancers, and companies with up to 50 employees. In return, the license grants you the right to use the music on up to 3 channels per social platform. Also included are: unlimited YouTube videos, podcasts, websites, client work, paid ads, as well as broadcasts and TV.

What are some alternatives to Artlist?

To start with, I recommend YouTube’s free audio library, which can be found at studio.youtube.com. Of course, the selection and quality don’t match Artlist’s, but you can definitely find what you need here for simple projects. So if you’re working on just a few video projects and don’t want to commit to an annual subscription right away, this is the right choice for you.

Other providers worth checking out include Epidemic Sound, Soundstripe, and Musicbed. However, licensing can get expensive quickly with some of these, and the pricing model is often hard to understand and complicated. I used to like using Musicbed for wedding videos, but unfortunately, it has become very expensive in the meantime. One hidden gem might be audiio.com, as the provider advertises that you get unlimited music forever with a one-time payment of $199. I haven’t tried the service yet, though.
